Greenhouse Gas Emissions and Bacterial Community Structure as Influenced by Biodegradable Film Mulching in Eastern China

چکیده
Machine transplanting technology of biodegradable films has solved the problems higher cost artificial film and serious environmental pollution polyethylene residue. Previous studies have shown positive impact mulching on mitigating global warming potential. However, mechanisms underlying association between greenhouse gas emissions bacterial community structure in paddy field soil with (BM) still remain limited. In this study, associated non-mulching, a Eastern China were analyzed over 2019 2020 rice growing seasons. Rice cultivation significantly inhibited CH4 from paddy, mainly due to significant reduction methane emission peaks. Film increased diversity as revealed by 16S rRNA gene sequencing. The relative abundance methanogens was decreased, while methanotrophs BM treatment, change pattern basically consistent emissions. N2O during growth period showed pronounced downward trend. total bacteria involved nitrification denitrification under BM. Mulching improved nutrient availability yield 5.0%. intensity (GHGI) 46.9%. mechanical could promote increases mediate potential (GWP) gases fields Middle-Lower Yangtze Area. rational use would play role carbon neutrality fields. This study provided theoretical basis for sustainable agricultural development.

Greenhouse gas emissions from oilfield-produced water in Shengli Oilfield, Eastern China.
Greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from oil and gas systems are an important component of the GHG emission inventory. To assess the carbon emissions from oilfield-produced water under atmospheric conditions correctly, in situ detection and simulation experiments were developed to study the natural release of GHG into the atmosphere in the Shengli Oilfield, the second largest oilfield in China. The ...
متن کاملImproving rice production sustainability by reducing water demand and greenhouse gas emissions with biodegradable films
In China, rice production is facing unprecedented challenges, including the increasing demand, looming water crisis and on-going climate change. Thus, producing more rice at lower environmental cost is required for future development, i.e., the use of less water and the production of fewer greenhouse gas (GHG) per unit of rice. Ground cover rice production systems (GCRPSs) could potentially add...
متن کاملGas emissions as influenced by home composting system configuration.
Home composting systems (HC) are known to facilitate municipal solid waste management, but little is known about their environmental impact including their greenhouse gas emissions (GGE). The present research focused on selecting HC configuration producing the least CH(4) and N(2)O. Thus, 4 HC types were used to compost food and yard waste for 150 days and monitored for CO(2), CH(4) and N(2)O a...
متن کاملReducing Australia’s Greenhouse Gas Emissions
Interim targets to reduce greenhouse gas emissions are essential to put Australia on track toward the deep emissions cuts required by 2050. This report fi nds that by 2020, emission reductions of greater than 30 per cent below 1990 levels are possible, but only with a wide range of concerted actions in the energy, industry and land-use sectors. If the contributions from energy effi ciency in th...
